How to arrive to Bocas del Toro from Panama

From Panama City you can get to Bocas in two ways, by plane or by road.

Air Panama offers two daily flights from  Marcos A. Gelabert airport in Albrook.  If you would like to get air tickets, please contact info@ghbahia.com, it will be our pleasure to make the arrangements for you.

By road you can get to Almirante, either driving or by bus, and take a water taxi to come to Colon Island. In case you decide to come by bus, they depart daily from the Albrook Terminal in Panama City.

If you decide to drive, you have the option to leave your car in Almirante and take a water taxi or bring your car to the island by using the ferry service that runs from Tuesday through Sunday.

How to arrive to Bocas del Toro from David

From the city of David you can get to Bocas by road or air.   Air Panama offers flights from this city’s airport, please check their site for schedules, since they can change by season. Either driving or by bus, you arrive to Almirante and take a water taxi to come to Colon Island. In case you decide to come by bus, they depart daily – every half hour- from the Central Bus Terminal in David.  If you decide to drive, you have the option to leave your car in Almirante and take a water taxi or bring your car in to the island using the ferry service that runs from Tuesday through Sunday.

How to arrive to Bocas del Toro from Costa Rica

Nature Air offer several flights per week, from San José.

By road you can cross the Sixaola-Guabito border check-point (there is a daily bus service from San Jose to Changuinola and back).  From there, take a bus or a taxi to Almirante to board a water taxi to come to Colon Island.
